Biking through the Great Smoky Mountains is a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of this park. You can see sites that others miss and get up close and personal with nature. - Townsend Bicycle Trail- This one is a great choice for bikers of all skill levels. It has three underpasses and stretches for nine miles. It’s filled with lots of beautiful scenery and has access to shops, restaurants and even a few motels.
- The Gatlinburg Trail- This is a great trail for families with small children. It stretches for two miles and the terrain is flat and easy to ride on.
- Oconaluftee River Trail- This trail is also great for families and even pets. It’s one and a half miles long and has a few small hills to make it interesting. It runs through the forest and then along the bank of the Oconaluftee River.
